Viet Organic to be granted with EU and USDA certificates for organic cashew (in addition to ginger, turmeric and pepper)
After close to 5 years of development, Viet Organic has successfully obtained organic certificates meeting EU and USDA for cashew farm and production.
(Viet Organic has also obtained organic organic certificates for ginger, turmeric and pepper since 2015 and one of the very first manufacturers to hold organic certificates)
Organic cashew farming requires rigorous effort and resources. It is involved in a number of processes and requirements in farming and production. Due to the fact that a majority of Vietnamese farmers including cashew farmers still followed the traditional ways of farming. As a result, a lot of chemicals and pesticides have been used, which made greatly harmful to the environment, quality of soil and air as well as quality of outcome agricultural products and directly to farmers’ health. The change from traditional cashew farming to organic cashew farming makes such a breakthrough in agriculture. Viet Organic, by green business philosophy, has patiently changed the way Vietnamese farmers do their farming. The organic certificate for cashew nut with EU and USDA certifications is such a worthily accredited acknowledgement for the contributions of Viet Organic in developing a Vietnam’s green agriculture.
